Trailing by as much as 22 in the 3rd quarter, the Mustangs used an 18-0 run to tie the game at 40-40 late in the 4th. On a last second effort, Merrill was able to put the ball in the hoop to regain a 1 point lead with under 2 seconds remaining, and that score would stand as the final, 48-47 in favor of the Vandals.
